Build On Hackathon by the Numbers

This year's Build On Hackathon has come to a thrilling close, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the innovation, creativity, and dedication shown by developers worldwide. With over 1,800 applications, a global pool of participants, and over $275,000 in prizes, the event demonstrated the immense potential of Web3 technology and decentralized solutions. Here's a look back at the winners and standout projects that made this hackathon unforgettable.

Hackathon Highlights: By the Numbers

  • 1,800+ applications from aspiring builders across the globe.
  • 110+ projects submitted, showcasing diverse solutions in blockchain technology.
  • $275,000+ in prizes awarded across multiple categories.
  • 10 partner organizations supported the hackathon with tools, mentorship, and resources.

Acknowledging Our Amazing Partners

This hackathon wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our incredible partners: Noves, CoinAPI, CoinPaprika, Covalent, Blockscout, Avail, Odos, and PYUSD. Their tools, mentorship, and contributions helped hackers bring their visions to life.

"Build On gave hackathoners a simple way to access and connect multiple APIs. This meant more opportunities to get creative with development rather than bogged down with data delivery issues.” — Blockscout

How the Build-On Hackathon Worked

The Build-On Hackathon celebrated the wide variety of tools and data solutions available for web3 developers today. To encourage various projects built leveraging varied APIs and tech stacks, developers entered tracks dedicated to highlighting creative uses of partner-developed APIs in QuickNode’s Marketplace.

An additional track awarded developers for creative and innovative implementation of Paypal’s PYUSD stablecoin.

Lastly, there were tracks that rewarded innovative uses of QuickNode’s latest data tools.

One track rewarded projects utilizing QuickNode Streams to access real-time and historical data, the implementation of filters to obtain more detailed data, and the utilization of Streams REST API.

A Functions track focused on innovative implementations that leverage Functions to offload backend operations to Function's serverless infrastructure, streamlining blockchain interactions and improving dApp performance.

And, of course, prizes were awarded for the best overall projects across all tracks.
