QuickNode Accelerator - Hangry Animals
Hangry Animals blends storytelling, Web3, and social good into a transmedia universe where players own, earn, and impact real causes.

We’re excited to spotlight Hangry Animals, a storytelling-first project blending Web3, gaming, and social impact. Built by a team of creators and gamers, Hangry is turning entertainment into a force for good, where players donate, play, and earn across a rich transmedia universe. Since joining the QuickNode Rollup Accelerator, they’ve launched on-chain game mechanics, evolved wallet-linked characters, and deepened their rollup strategy to support cross-game interoperability.
Q & A with Hangry Animals 👇
1. Who are you, and what’s the mission behind Hangry Animals?
We're a collective of creative technologists, storytellers, and gamers with a shared vision to build the next generation of entertainment IP. Hangry Animals is our flagship universe or Hangryverse as we call it… a bold, character-driven transmedia experience where players don’t just consume content, they own a part of it. At its core, Hangry is about incentivising real-world impact through gaming and entertainment. Be it linear (episodic content) or non-linear (narrative driven games) we’re using digital assets to power a unique participation loop: donate, play, earn.
Our mission is to create a globally recognised entertainment brand that fuses storytelling, Web3, and social good… bridging the gap between gaming culture and charitable causes. Think Humble Bundle meets Fall Guys, Meets TMNT with a conscience.
2. What drew you to QuickNode’s Rollup Accelerator, and how has it shaped your journey so far?
We were drawn to QuickNode’s Rollup Accelerator because it aligns with our ambition to scale sustainably and efficiently in the Web3 space are we’re super curious about the underlying tech and solutions rollups can offer creatively focussed projects lack may lack the understanding of what sits under the hood to run a chain. We're building something that needs both speed and security at scale, and the opportunity to experience first hand up close with a team innovating at the infrastructure layer was a no-brainer.
The programme has already helped us tighten our technical understanding and architecture needs, think more modularly about our rollup strategy, and gain access to peers and mentors who genuinely want to see us succeed. It also reaffirmed our belief that the next wave of Web3 adoption will come from projects with cultural resonance and relevance as well as utility.
3. What’s been the highlight of your experience in the accelerator over the past few weeks?
The stand-out moment has been the candid, high-calibre feedback from QuickNode’s team and fellow founders. It’s rare to be in a room where everyone speaks the same language.. tech, vision, strategy and execution… and yet brings a completely different perspective.
We had a breakthrough during one session where we restructured how our reward mechanics would live on-chain as claimable. That conversation not only made our approach leaner but opened up new possibilities for cross-game integrations, which are central to our longer-term vision of interoperability with other projects.
4. What key milestones have you hit during the program, and what lessons have stuck with you?
We’ve hit several critical milestones, including:
- Launching a test environment for on-chain score submissions via our game prototype.
- Integrating wallet-linked characters that evolve through gameplay and feed into our animation pipeline leaderboard.
- Aligning our smart contract logic with our digital charity wallets for transparency and traceability.
The biggest lesson? Simplicity scales. Strip away anything that doesn’t serve the user or the mission. When tech is elegant, it amplifies the story.
5. What’s next for Hangry Animals, and how do you plan to make waves in Web3?
Next up is early release of our flagship game Nom Nom Express across Web and Mobile, where we’ll be activating our community and early supporters to bring more HANGRYNESS to our socials and beyond. From there, we’re conducting play test sessions with players using their digital animal avatars to earn, evolve, and do good, as we showcase how our unique mechanics can help raise awareness and funds for animal welfare charities that need it most.
Long-term, we’re scaling Hangry Animals into a global transmedia IP: Digital Asset Member Passes (available on our mint page), animated series (teaser trailer on the way), comics (First one already released), events, merchandise (in our store), and more—all fuelled by participation, ownership, and purpose. We believe Web3 can be more than finance or speculation, it is and can be a force for good. And we plan to lead that charge through entertainment.
