Solana gRPC is now included with Scale and Business plans

Solana gRPC (Yellowstone-compatible Geyser gRPC) is the lowest-latency way to read live Solana data, now included with Scale and Business plans on Quicknode at no additional cost, effective June 1. Your endpoints, your code, and the regions you're streaming from all stay the same. Usage is metered in bytes and uses API credits, now with no separate access charge.

If you've never tried Solana gRPC, this is a great time to start.

What Solana gRPC does, in 60 seconds

Solana gRPC opens an efficient, persistent connection from your Quicknode Solana endpoint and pushes accounts, transactions, slots, and blocks to you the moment they land.

The protocol is gRPC over HTTP/2 with Protocol Buffers: binary framing, multiplexed streams that avoid head-of-line blocking, and a persistent connection that survives intermittent drops in ways a WebSocket subscription does not. Historical replay covers up to 3,000 recent slots (about 20 minutes) via the fromSlot parameter, so a dropped connection during recovery doesn't cost you data.

Live in JFK, EWR, FRA, IAD, and NRT. Clients for Rust, Go, TypeScript, and Python.

The teams already running it are doing the work you'd expect at the tip of the chain: high-frequency trading, MEV, arbitrage, real-time indexing, onchain analytics.

Usage is metered based on the amount of data that is delivered through your connection: 10 API credits per 0.1 MB of data delivered. Build and Accelerate plans can continue to use the paid add-on, but it makes sense to upgrade to Scale to pull it into the plan and get more credits to use across all services.

Nothing to enable. If you're on Scale or Business, the gRPC port on your existing Solana endpoint is already live.

Already paying for the add-on?

If you're on Build or Accelerate today and paying for the gRPC add-on, the math is straightforward.

An Accelerate plan ($249/mo) plus the gRPC add-on ($499/mo) is $748/mo. Upgrading to Scale is $499/mo, gRPC included, with 2x to 12x more API credits than your current plan and up to 5x the RPS ceiling, giving you more access for a lower cost.

The same logic runs for Build: upgrade to Scale and get more credits and access at a lower combined cost.

Built on infrastructure Quicknode operates

Quicknode's Solana stack delivers stability and speed that indexers and HFT can build against.

The global edge, the RPC, and the real-time data infrastructure are Quicknode's, operated end-to-end, and the same stack that production Solana trading teams already depend on. When you stream a transaction off your Quicknode Solana endpoint, you're reading directly from infrastructure Quicknode owns and runs.

"For a trading platform where every millisecond counts, Quicknode's dedicated gRPC infrastructure proved unmatched."
Joseph Murphy, CEO, Rhythm

Including Solana gRPC access adds value for teams building on Solana.
